About the event

“Touch calms our nervous center, slows our heartbeat, lowers blood pressure as well as cortisol, our stress hormone. It also triggers the release of oxytocin, a hormone known for promoting emotional bonding to others (McNichols, 2021).

From birth, we rely on touch to communicate, connect, and thrive. Yet, as we grow older, we often don't take the time to explore touch beyond just receiving.

In this daytime, platonic event, you’ll be guided through various exercises to help you explore giving touch in a more mindful and pleasurable way. In partnership with Paige Prince & Naughty Monkey, this unique, mind-opening event will:

  • Pull for relaxation
  • Give you the opportunity to experiment with our taste lab - an alcohol-freeelixir bar with calming accompaniment
  • Expand your understanding of the importance of touch
  • Help you discover the value of giving touch, in addition to receiving
  • Teach you new techniques for mindful and pleasurable platonic touch

You're encouraged to bring a partner with whom you feel comfortable sharing touch. A limited amount of solo explorer seats are available for those comfortable being paired with others seeking to expand their knowledge and experience of touch. No experience is necessary. Our commitment is to maintain an environment of respect, authenticity, and exploration. Read more here.
